Using it: 

Power relays are typically found in most digitally controlled kilns and are used to control the flow of electricity to the heating elements. A 12V relay in an electric kiln uses a low-voltage control signal to safely switch the kiln’s high-voltage heating elements on and off.

These aftermarket parts have been tested extensively by AKP on Skutt kilns and are high quality at a considerable savings compared to factory parts.
