Fits models: 28K Insulating Fire Brick (IFB) is a soft insulating fire brick used for general kiln contraction and rated to 2800F (28K). Higher grade brick for the industry.

Size: This brick comes in 4 sizes: All of bricks are the same length of 9" but varies on width and depth.

Using it: This is a soft insulating fire brick used when replacing or repairing brick in gas kilns. This brick can be cut with hand and electric powered saws.

Insulating Fire Brick (IFB) is a lightweight, porous ceramic brick designed to provide thermal insulation in kilns, furnaces, and high-temperature ovens, minimizing heat loss while withstanding very high temperatures (typically 1000–1650 °C / 1830–3000 °F). IFBs are engineered to combine low thermal conductivity, high-temperature stability, and light weight, using a porous ceramic structure that balances insulation with durability.
