Using it: Different makes and models of kilns require different confirmations of thermocouple types, thermocouple numbers (zones) and temperature. 

A Bartlett controller can often be added as an upgrade to many electric kilns, but it must be compatible with the kiln’s wiring, voltage, relays, and thermocouple setup to work properly.
